Soju Birthday Banner

I bought this black glitter banner for my sister’s birthday, and it was such a hit! She came into town for her birthday, and this was the perfect funny and cute decoration to welcome her. The glitter looked great in pictures, sparkly but not messy and the material was thicker and sturdier than I expected. It hung up easily and didn’t bend or tear like some flimsy banners do.

I appreciate that it came with the plastic needle to help thread the string through the small holes whereas other banners did not provide this, and I wanted to pull my hair out.

Was dreading getting older but when I stumbled upon this item, I could not help but get it and throw a soju gathering. This item is perfect for any soju lover celebrating their birthday! The item comes unstrung, but includes a string and a needle to help thread the string through the holes. It turned out so much cuter than I expected! My only negative is the string that was included with the item. It’s a rounded metallic string vs. a flat string, so sticking onto the walls and having it stay was harder vs. the flat strings. I have textured walls, and used multiple clear tapes to keep the banners up. But it did fall and had to be fixed multiple times throughout the night. The string would be best used tied vs. taped. Otherwise the sign was exactly as I expected, and worth the price!

This banner is so fun and instantly set the vibe. The glitter lettering is bold and sparkly without shedding everywhere (a win 🙌). It comes with the little soju bottle cutouts too, which just makes it extra adorable and perfect for a Korean-themed party, 21st birthday, or girls’ night.

It’s lightweight, easy to assemble, and long enough to hang across a photo wall or behind a table. Guests loved it — literally everyone asked where I got it.

We hung this across a balloon arch for a 21st birthday and it became the main photo backdrop. Every selfie looked so cute. Definitely one of those decorations that makes the whole party feel ~on theme~.

the set includes a long 26-foot silver thread and even a little plastic tapestry needle, which made threading the letters and bottles much easier. i really appreciated that it isn’t pre-strung, because it let me decide how to space things out and how many rows to make. i cut the thread into quarters so i could do four rows like the product photos, and it looked perfectly balanced once hung.

the black letters are made from a thick shimmer cardstock with a fine, flat glitter finish that catches light beautifully but doesn’t shed at all. the soju bottles have a nice gloss to them and look surprisingly realistic for a paper decoration. the overall look feels festive but still neat enough to reuse for future parties, whether it’s a birthday, k-bbq night, or a k-drama watch party.

helpful tip: after cutting the thread, gently heat the ends so they melt slightly, then pinch them together to stop fraying.

this garland ended up being such a fun, well-made find, especially for the price. it’s clever, easy to assemble, and instantly sets the vibe for the night.
